Giving Pets Herbs?



I feel it is extremely important to show our animal companions love and give them what they need to feel right and good everyday... exercise, clean water, fresh air, and a healthy diet with certain supplements. This will keep them happy and us happy when they do not come down with a health challenge pre-maturely like so many animals do today.

With that said, almost every Amazon Herb product is suitable for pet consumption with a couple exceptions.


The only two Amazon Herb products you should not give to your pets are the chocamaca since chocolate has theobromine which can give cats or dog's heart attacks... and yerba matte tea since it has mateine in it which is also not safe for smaller animals...but it is very uplifting to drink if you are a human.



Anyway, so most Pets have at some point eaten conventional pet food in their life. Hopefully we all realize that conventional pet food is extremely low quality with many food by products that are not suitable for consumption, and we've gotten turned on to higher quality holistic, or even organic food blends. Even if we are feeding them better now, our pets are probably experiencing health that is other than optimal, and they may need to detoxify some of the old gunk that clogged them up at one point.



Many pets were fed severely deficient diets when it comes to omega-3 fatty acids, or proper nerve nutrition.. so their hormonal and nervous system balance are probably not up to speed. I see many animals who are shaky or jumpy when you try to pet them, and I know it could be easily corrected with certain nutritional supplements.

Sumacazon would be one supplement that could work extremely well. Sumacazon works directly on the endocrine and nervous system and supplying the proper fatty acids to the proper place to bring balance back to one of the most vital systems of the body. It is also great for many people who tend to be high strung as well. The herbs can be administered topically or orally, but generally for pets I recommend the liquid version of the herbs and putting it on topically in a gentle way, so as to not create more stress for the animal by forcing things on them. Give your pets massages and instead of oils usually used on humans, try using medicinal herbs!!

Yerba Maté contains many compounds that help keep its drinkers healthy and energetic, including some compounds that thus far have been found only in Maté. There are 196 volatile (or active) chemical compounds found in the Yerba Maté plant.

Yerba mate assists weight loss by increasing the transit time of food through the digestive tract, helping users feel fuller, longer. The British Herbal Compendium also recommends yerba mate for treating fatigue and headache.

An August 11, 2005 United States patent application , and cites yerba mate extract as an inhibitor of MAO activity; the maximal inhibition observed in vitro was 40-50%. A monoamine oxidase inhibitor is a type of antidepressant, so there is some data to suggest that yerba mate has a calming effect in this regard.
